Marathon County Park is about 190 miles, or 3.5 hours from Downtown Milwaukee.
Take Hwy 41/45 north towards Fond du Lac. Past Oshkosh, continue on 45 north (do not take 41). Continue on US-10 West.
As you get to Stevens Point, take I-39/US-51 North. Continue on US-51 north. Take exit 192 for WI-52 East. The park will be
about 1 mile ahead on the right.
To all AMCW members who are going to the Weight pull in Wausau, WI on September 13 This is the Road Construction Report for the Wausau area. US 51 has road work starting at mile marker 190 through 193, our exit is 192. The lanes on the highway shift to the left (190) to go over a bridge then shift back to the right. Be in the right lane when the lanes shift back because the Exit 192 is about a 1/2 mile ahead after the lanes shift back. I did get off the highway and did find the park and what building we are in on the grounds. When you get to the bottom of the exit ramp (stoplight) make a right turn you are now on WI 52 east. Stay in the right lane and go through the next two stoplights and the road curves to the left and becomes Stewart Ave. The Park entrance is on the right. From the exit ramp to the park entrance is about 3/4 mile. The Pet Expo is in the "ICE ARENA" building #1 so follow the signs for the Ice Arena. You can turn right or left when you come into the park, the camp ground is to the right. The camp grounds looked very nice and are under lots of trees. The parking area was so-so but not big, so parking might be a problem. There is a small kiddie park inside the park, they have a Carousel, Train, playground stuff, mini-golf ans some water ponds for the kids or the grand kids. If you are staying at the Super 8 or the La Quinta Inn, when you get off at exit 192 turn right and then make the next right turn and those hotels will be on your right.
